Dr. Kaitlin Basham is an Assistant Professor at the University of Utah and an Investigator at the Huntsman Cancer Institute. Her lab studies mechanisms of development, aging, and cancer in the adrenal gland, with a focus on the interaction between genetic alterations and the aged tissue microenvironment. She received her PhD in Oncological Sciences from the University of Utah in 2014, where she studied normal developmental biology and disease pathogenesis in the mammary gland. She then pursued postdoctoral training at the University of Michigan, where she was an American Cancer Society Postdoctoral Fellow. Dr. Basham started her independent career at the University of Utah in 2021 and received a V Foundation Scholar Award in 2022.
